Once again, the silent auction will be conducted virtually via ClickBid. Bidding on the Silent Auction (Items #13-60) closes Monday, February 26th at 7:00 PM Central Standard Time. View all items, register for a bidding number, and bid now at aasvf.cbo.io. Enter your "max bids" to make sure you don’t miss out at the last minute.
Not attending the annual meeting? You can still bid on silent auction items and win! Pay by credit card via ClickBid or mail a check to the AASV Foundation. All items will be shipped directly to the winning bidder by the donor, unless otherwise specified in the item description.
The Live Auction will take place in Nashville, Tennessee after the AASV Awards Reception on Monday evening, February 26th.
The auction proceeds are put to immediate use to fund the many foundation activities that receive annual support. Below are some of the ways the AASV Foundation is currently benefiting those engaged in the swine veterinary profession. The AASV Foundation:
- Cosponsors the Monday AASV Luncheon during the AASV annual meeting
- Administers endowments for the Howard Dunne and Alex Hogg Memorial Lectures
- Provides support for AASV Heritage Videos
- Administers funding for important research with direct application and benefits to our profession and swine health
- Supports and administers the Dr. Conrad and Judy Schmidt Family and AASVF-Zoetis Student Debt Relief Scholarships and Grants
- Administers the Hogg Scholarship for deserving AASV member veterinarians to pursue advanced degrees
- Provides funding for AASV members pursuing board certification in the American College of Animal Welfare
- Provides funding for AASV members pursuing board certification for American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) Swine Health Management Scholarship Program
The AASV Foundation also benefits veterinary students interested in swine medicine. The AASV Foundation:
- Administers funding for veterinary student scholarships
- Cosponsors travel stipends for veterinary students to attend the AASV Annual Meeting
- Provides externship grants to supplement veterinary student swine-related externships.
