The Iowa Swine Day 2020 event is going virtual! The ninth annual event will be available this year as a five-part webinar series of select speakers. During each webinar, offered Thursdays, noon to 2:30 PM CDT, participants have the opportunity to interact, ask questions, and learn from the two presenters featured each week. Webinars are offered via Webex and can be accessed via any computer or mobile device with internet connection. Registration is required to receive connection information and participate. There is no cost to attend the webinars. Webinars will be recorded and available on the Iowa Pork Industry Center website following the conclusion of the series.

Emerging Animal Infectious Disease Conference - NEW DATE!

The goal of the conference is to highlight current successes and lessons learned from past experiences combating foreign animal diseases and to explore new areas for action, preparedness, and response. Guest speakers and breakout sessions will address a number of diseases (FMD, ASF, HPAI, and NDV) from a variety of perspectives, including surveillance and diagnosis, economic impact, and strategies for mitigating/minimizing risk.

The objective of the conference is to facilitate the discussion and dissemination of the most current information relative to sow, litter, weaned pig and grow-finish mortality. The conference will feature presentations and panel discussions from industry leaders and scientific experts. We want to bring the industry together to motivate change; producers, researchers, students, extension personnel, swine consultants, and representatives from allied industries are all invited to attend and take part in the overall industry effort to improve pig survivability.
