Programs for Swine Veterinarians

The AASV Foundation offers two opportunities for AASV members to apply for relief of student debt.

The $10,000 Hogg Scholarship was established to assist a swine veterinarian in his or her efforts to return to school for graduate education (resulting in a master’s degree or higher) in an academic field of study related to swine health and production.

This scholarship is given annually to a veterinary student or graduate student AASV member who has shown interest in swine welfare and the improvement of food animal welfare.

The ACAW Scholarship benefits an AASV member seeking board certification in the American College of Animal Welfare (ACAW).

AASV members interested in pursuing certification in Swine Health Management within the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.
