Minnesota Veterinary Student Earns 2017 Zinpro/Schugel Scholarship
Zinpro Corporation recently awarded its 2017 Zinpro/Schugel Scholarship to Hunter Baldry, a fourth-year student at the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine, who hails from Maple Plain, Minnesota. Sexton Receives Merck Animal Health Scholarship (edited)
Brent Sexton (ISU ’18), 2017 Student Delegate to the AASV Board of Directors, was one of thirty-four outstanding veterinary students from around the world receiving scholarships from Merck Animal Health, in partnership with the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF). Through the Merck Animal Health Veterinary Student Scholarship Program, the selected second- and third-year students pursuing careers in companion animal or large animal medicine will each receive a $5,000 scholarship to support their educational endeavors. NPPC Offers Veterinary Student Externships
The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) has an externship opportunity for four senior veterinary students annually. The externships are two weeks in length and take place in Washington, D.C. and other relevant locations. The goal of the program is to expose students to the role of veterinarians in public policy and regulation at the national level.
