Register for the Pig Power Networking Event

2022 brings back the ever-popular Pig Power Networking Event! This fast-paced interview format is a great way to spend your Friday morning. This student planned event is coordinated by members of Iowa State’s AASV chapter, and a great opportunity to get involved and interact with enthusiastic future swine veterinarians.

Students: Apply for $5000 scholarship by December 31

In an effort to assist future swine veterinarians with their educational expenses, the AASV Foundation and Merck Animal Health are pleased to offer the AASVF-Merck Animal Health Veterinary Student Scholarships. Ten $5000 scholarships will be awarded to sophomore and junior veterinary students in 2023. Applications are due December 31, 2022 for scholarships that will be announced during the 2023 AASV Annual Meeting.

Student Externship: 2023 AVMA Government Relations – Apply Now

The AVMA’s extern program introduces veterinary students to the breadth of public policy issues facing the profession with a hands-on advocacy experience. Discover the scope of veterinary medicine in the federal government while expanding your understanding of the veterinarian’s role in the legislative process. Meet with legislators to advocate the AVMA’s legislative agenda and network with staff and veterinarians from Capitol Hill, regulatory agencies, and other DC-based organizations.
