The AASV Foundation plans to award up to $100,000 in 2024 to support research with direct application to the swine veterinary profession and is now receiving proposals to be considered for funding. Proposals are due by 12:00 PM Central Time on December 15, 2023, and may request a maximum of $30,000 per project.

AASV Publishes 2023 Salary Survey Results
The AASV’s 8th triennial Salary Survey results are now available for members to view and download at https://aasv.org/members/only/SalarySurvey2023.pdf. The survey requested information about the 2022 calendar year from AASV active members in the United States and Canada. Of the association’s 900 eligible members, 43% participated. Earlier surveys collected salary and employment information. AASV has since expanded the survey to create a comprehensive compensation report. The 2023 report includes demographic, salary, benefit, employment, workload, and compensation satisfaction information.
Nominations for AASV Board Members Sought in Five Districts
Nominations are now open for positions on the AASV Board of Directors in Districts #1 (northeastern US), #4 (Indiana and Michigan), #6 (Iowa), #8 (Nebraska and South Dakota), and #10 (Mexico). Nominations must be submitted electronically. Members in these districts can log into aasv.org/members to nominate a candidate in their district. Email messages containing the nomination instructions and links have also been sent to voting members in the districts conducting nominations.
