It’s Time to Renew Your AASV Membership for 2024

AASV Veterinarian and Affiliate Members, it’s time to renew your AASV membership for 2024! Renewal notices were mailed in November; you can submit your renewal by mail (US check payment only) or online (credit card payments) at ecom.aasv.org/renewal (login required; click here to reset your password). In exchange for annual dues of $295, members receive access to the many benefits described at aasv.org/aasv/membership.html. Has your address, phone, or email address changed? Apply by Dec 15 for ABVP Swine Health Management Scholarship Program

The AASV Foundation Board of Directors has established the Swine Health Management Scholarship Program to annually support one AASV member interested in pursuing certification through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). As part of its mission to support the development and scholarship of students and veterinarians, the goal of this program is to relieve some of the financial burden associated with achieving board certification.

It’s Time to Register for the AASV Annual Meeting!

We hope you’ve already made your lodging arrangements for AASV’s 55th Annual Meeting. Now it’s time to register for the conference itself! Online registration has just opened for the meeting, to be held February 24-27 in Nashville, Tennessee, where presentations will address the theme Leading AASV into the Future. Conference details, including registration, lodging, and the scientific program are available at aasv.org/annmtg.It pays to register early – after February 2, the member registration rate increases by $100. After February 16, registration will close entirely until on-site registration opens in Nashville on February 24.

Last chance: Award Nominations Extended through December 15

Did you forget to send in your award nomination for an AASV member who is leading AASV into the future? Do it now – the Awards Committee will accept additional letters through December 15 (firm deadline). If you know a member who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and vision as they carry out their role in practice, tech services, academia, research, or whose actions are benefiting and leading AASV and the swine veterinary profession into the future, then nominate them for one of the following six awards to be presented in Nashville, Tennessee.

People on the Move: Dr. Marisa Rotolo

Dr. Marisa Rotolo recently joined The National Pork Board as the Director of Swine Health. Dr. Rotolo will oversee the foreign and endemic disease research programs as well as support additional projects with the Swine Health and Production Team. Position Announcement: Senior Manager of Health Assurance
