2024 GRANTS Program Call for Proposals

Proposals are now being accepted for the 2024 cycle of the Growing Research and New Technology for Swine (GRANTS) program, sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim. Practicing veterinarians and producers, as well as researchers and academics, can apply for one of three $35,000 awards for research related to swine health and production.

Research Safeguards U.S. Pork Industry from African Swine Fever

Pork production is a major U.S. agricultural industry with an estimated production value of $30 billion in 2022, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service. While never identified in the U.S., African Swine Fever presents a very real threat to the nation’s multibillion-dollar pork industry. USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) funding supports researchers developing surveillance, prevention and preparedness methods for this highly infectious animal disease.

Position Announcement: Senior Manager of Health Assurance

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and Customer Success, the Senior Manager of Health Assurance will oversee best-in-class health and biosecurity in the AcuFast genetic nucleus farms, boar studs, and multiplication pyramid for AcuFast global business. This position will collaborate with many senior AcuFast team members and will be part of our senior leadership team. The successful candidate can be located in the US or Canada.
