Would you like to apply your expertise in these areas to support the use of precision nutrition? TechMix is looking to add a Technical Services Veterinarian to the Swine Team. TechMix is an industry leader in providing electrolyte and hydration products. As the industry continues to see pressures and challenges in how we raise pigs, TechMix is uniquely positioned to provide solutions through water enrichment. In this role, the Technical Services Veterinarian will provide support to the Swine Sales, Innovations and Marketing Teams. We are a family-owned company, and we embrace a "family" type of culture.
Role and Responsibilities
- Education: D.V.M. (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
- Swine Production Clinical Experience: 5 years minimum
- Language Skills: English required. Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
- Writing Skills: Capable of writing technically correct articles, case studies, etc. Minimum of 2 articles published in either publications, AASV, Leman Conference, or International conferences.
- Product Evaluation: Knowledge and ability to write protocols for customers using TechMix products and protocols for TechMix product trials
- Trial Support: Engage with customers to evaluate products and protocols for the commercial use of TechMix products. May be expected to work with summer interns as well in a mentoring role.
- Innovative mind preferred: Be able to think outside the box and consult with our Innovation Team in creation of new products or improving existing products
- Technical Presentations: Ability to make technical presentations in person or virtually to assist the Swine Team members and/or support marketing initiatives.
- Proficiency: Need to be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows.
- Biosecurity: Be able to meet the biosecurity requirements of customers
- Literature Review: Do occasional literature reviews requested by the manager
- Professional Membership: Be a member of American Association of Swine Veterinarians. TechMix will support reimbursement for attending meetings to maintain swine veterinarian certification.
- Location: Prefer you live in the Midwest but can be somewhat flexible on where to live
- Travel Requirements: Be willing to travel on average, 2 days per week. Have a current Passport. International travel may be requested on occasion.
- Vacation: 4 weeks or negotiated for the more senior veterinarians

- Attend professional meetings and trade shows as requested by your manager. These may be included but not limited to: AASV, Leman Conference, World Pork Expo, Iowa Pork Expo, Animal Science Meetings, and meetings put on by TechMix reps
