Last Chance! Register by Oct 29 for the AASV Early Career Swine Veterinarian Conference

There are still a few available seats for the AASV Early Career Swine Veterinarian Conference, but this is the last chance to catch them before they’re gone! On October 29, any remaining seats will be made available to AASV student members, with preference given to 4th year students.

This AASV-hosted conference will be held immediately following the ISU James D. McKean Swine Conference on November 5, 2021, in Ames, Iowa. Registration is free to those who register for the James D. McKean Swine Disease Conference (required)* but limited to 50 AASV member veterinarians that are within their first 10 years of practice. Please only register if planning to attend the entire afternoon of sessions. Register here.

The AASV Early Career Swine Veterinarian Conference, designed for AASV member swine veterinarians within 10 years of graduation, presents early career swine veterinarians with the perfect opportunity to meet with other veterinarians and learn how to strengthen their skills. This welcoming, interactive conference will give early career veterinarians the chance to socialize, collaborate, and communicate with others working in swine veterinary medicine.

This year’s conference will focus on the basic fundamentals of swine health and production. Through presentations, panel discussions, one-on-one networking, and small group discussions, the attendees will learn how to confront career development challenges with a focus on the pearls, possibilities, and opportunities of the swine industry. The speaker line up is made-up of an elite group of swine veterinarians, and the AASV Early Career Committee could not be more excited to offer this experience.
