Catastrophic and routine losses of poultry and livestock associated with large-scale production operations have become significant environmental, biosecurity, and waste management concerns around the globe.
The symposium highlights new research (pure and applied) and case studies/field exercises of current and emerging animal mortality disposal methodologies, food and feed chain challenges and critical assessments of public policy with the intent to capture and disseminate new information on these topics, and to stimulate development of additional research, policy and educational programs.
The Seventh International Symposium on Animal Mortality Management is scheduled on June 13-16, 2022 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Monday, June 13, 2022 -Tours highlighting various facets of North Carolina agriculture and animal facilities (at an additional cost – not included with registration fee).
- Tuesday, June 14, 2022 – Symposium begins. Full-day of presentations, panels, and poster session.
- Wednesday, June 15, 2022 – Half-day of presentations and panels, half-day of demonstrations.
- Thursday, June 16, 2022 – Half-day of tabletop exercise.
Important Dates
- Presentation/Poster/Video abstract application deadline is 5PM CST, December 15, 2021.
- The Program committee will notify applicants regarding acceptance by January 20, 2022.
- To be included in the proceedings, papers and posters must be emailed to the symposium Program committee in Adobe PDF format, no later than March 15, 2022.
