Dr. Tyler Holck has been named Senior Program Coordinator for the new US Swine Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) pilot project. In this role, he will provide planning and oversight for SHIP, a newly established, joint industry, state, and federal partnership modeled after the basic tenets of the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP). SHIP is designed to protect US pork exports by establishing certifications for African swine fever and classical swine fever with standards and procedures for biosecurity, traceability, and sampling/testing.
