Position Announcement: Faculty Position in Production Medicine

The Department of Clinical Studies – New Bolton Center at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for an Academic Clinician track Production Medicine position at the Assistant Professor level. Primary responsibilities will be focused on the health and management of swine, including oversight of the Pennsylvania swine disease control and elimination program and on-farm efficacy trials outreach. Developing clinical services to offer to other food animal species, including poultry, is anticipated. Participation in educational initiatives on animal health, husbandry, and welfare that target students, post-graduates and animal industry players is also expected. Requirements include a DVM/VMD degree, board eligibility/certification from a recognized veterinary specialty college, 5-years-plus experience in the swine industry, expertise in geographic information system platforms, and demonstrated competency in statistics and experimental design.

The position is open immediately. Applications will be reviewed until either July 3, 2017, or an appropriate candidate is identified.
