A full-range of Operation Main Street training courses will be offered June 6-8 during World Pork Expo in Des Moines.
We’ll have classes for beginners and advanced training for more experienced OMS speakers who want to address higher-level decision makers. OMS refresher training classes are also planned.
If you’d like to receive registration information about any of the classes listed below please email Sheila Dressman at Sheila@eidsonandpartners.com.
- OMS 1.0:This training will prepare attendees to speak publicly with community members and high school students about the pork industry. Attendees will be able to answer the tough questions on industry issues such as industry structure, environment, antibiotics, animal welfare, public health and pork nutrition and health.
- OMS 2.0:This training will prepare OMS graduates to address high-value influencer audiences. Attendees will receive additional media training and assistance on how to handle hostile audiences. Training includes two mock television interviews for each participant with one-on-one coaching and evaluation.
- Dietetic Group Short Course 2.0: This training is for experienced speakers who have an interest in presenting to dietetic groups nationwide. Many of these presentations will be to state-level meetings. We suggest attending OMS 2.0 in conjunction with this short course, unless previously attended.
