ArkCare has an immediate opening for a full time swine-focused veterinarian in Norfolk, Nebraska. The primary need of the position is in general herd health consultation for current and upcoming clients within the states of Nebraska and Kansas in particular. The practice experiences minimal after hours or weekend calls with the main work load Monday – Saturday. Some overnight stays are required of the position.
ArkCare is a private practice that focuses on meeting client needs through a balance of science-based and practical approaches to livestock health. The practice is blessed with a large variety of swine clients needing service and desires to continue to grow the services and clients within the practice. The current 2-doctor practice will grow to 5 total practitioners in 2017 with current on-staff office support. Successful family-based clients are the hallmark of the practice. All necessary equipment to practice high-standard consultation/medicine/surgery will be provided to include a practice vehicle.
Salary for this position will range from $60,000 to $120,000 based off qualifications and abilities of the applicant to connect with clients. Considering the rapid growth that the practice will incur in 2017, there will be opportunity for future specialization if desired and/or development of new skills/services. Norfolk and the surrounding area of northeast Nebraska are a haven for agriculture and very diverse in its livestock. The city of Norfolk is a thriving community of 25,000 with 3 school systems and high quality of life with a comparatively low cost of living.
All candidates will be considered regardless of years of experience. Licensure within the state of Nebraska will be required with other surrounding states to follow.
