Only two weeks remain in the AASV election balloting for Vice President and District Directors in districts 2, 5, 9, and 11. Ballots must be received by mail in the AASV office by February 25, 2011. Ballots for AASV Vice President have been mailed to eligible voters in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The candidates are Drs. Matt Anderson (Algona, Iowa) and Paul Yeske (St. Peter, Minn). Ballots for District Directors have been mailed separately to the eligible voters in each district. In district 2 (Southeastern US), the incumbent director Dr. Matthew Turner (Clinton, NC) is the sole candidate. Similarly, director Dr. Doug Groth (Carthage, Ill) is running unopposed in district 5 (Illinois and Wisconsin). In district 9 (Minnesota and North Dakota), incumbent director Dr. Nathan Winkelman (Rice, Minn) and Dr. Scott Dee (St. Paul, Minn) are the two candidates for office. In Canada (District 11), Dr. George Charbonneau (Stratford, Ontario) is the sole candidate for the office. The election results will be announced at the AASV Annual Meeting in Phoenix.
