The AASV Communications committee recommended that the AASV produce a welcome video to raise the awareness of new members and recent graduates about the resources and benefits available to AASV members. The video presentation was filmed in December at the new offices of the AASV in Perry, IA and will be provided to new members on a flash drive along with additional AASV resources as an introduction to the association’s benefits and staff.
The AASV staff would like to thank the Communications committee for proposing this idea and actively participating in the development of the project. We would also like to thank the following folks for making it possible. Tracy Ann Raef, ISU-CVM Communications Specialist, wrote the script and tried to control the talent. Drs. Angie Delks and Amber Stricker took time away from their busy practice to offer their perspectives as recent graduates and active members of the association. Dr. Butch Baker, then AASV President, also lent his perspective as a long-term member of the association and one of its current leaders. In addition, David Brown, AASV’s IT specialist, spent numerous hours editing the final product.
