It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Carolee Vinson, wife of AASV member Ralph Vinson. Ralph expresses his appreciation for all the support he and the family have received from friends and colleagues.
Carolee is survived by her husband, three children and six grandchildren. In addition to being a loving, dedicated homemaker and managing her husband’s veterinary office, Carolee was very active in numerous civic clubs and organizations. She was an avid bridge player and golfer who competed often and scored two holes-in-one over her lifetime. She also obtained a single engine airplane pilot’s license in 1978 and assisted her husband in flying their family plane throughout the country accompanying him on business trips.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday, May 18, at the First Presbyterian Church of Galesburg, with the Reverend David Parker officiating. Interment will be in the Oneida Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Galesburg. Memorials may be made to The OSF St. Mary Foundation or to The Galesburg High School Varsity Girls Golf Team.
