With a mission of supporting mental health, the Veterinary Hope Foundation offers small group sessions for veterinary professionals. These groups provide a community to share common experiences as well as resources and information specific to the profession. During the six-week program, support groups of eight people meet online each week.
Affinity groups are offered based on multiple factors including primary type of practice, role within practice, and experience. Additional information including personal roles and priorities are accounted for to foster connection.
Upcoming Support Groups:
- Veterinarians: Late Career Group
Thursdays at 9 pm ET beginning September 19 - Veterinary Team Group
Tuesdays at 9 pm ET beginning October 8 - Veterinarians: Grief & Loss Group
Wednesdays at 9 pm ET beginning October 23 - Emotional Impact of Cyberbullying Skills Group
Tuesdays at 8 pm ET beginning October 29
Support Groups are not a substitute for mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health or substance use-related emergency, please call or text 988. You will be connected with a trained crisis counselor in a crisis center, who will answer the call or text, provide support, and share resources if needed.
