People on the Move, New Grad Edition: Dr. Elisha Snezek

AASV welcomes Dr. Elisha (Elise) Snezek to the veterinary profession! Dr. Snezek received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Findlay, her Master of Public Health degree from Mercer University, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia. She has accepted a Post-Doctoral Research Associate position with the Swine Medicine Education Center at Iowa State University, where she will also be completing a graduate degree. Dr. Snezek was raised in Suwanee, Georgia and developed an interest in swine and production animal medicine while completing her undergraduate degree. Her interest in epidemiology and disease prevention grew while completing her master’s degree prior to attending veterinary school. In the summer of 2022, she participated in the Swine Veterinary Internship Program, spending the summer with Tosh Farms, and had the opportunity to present a poster at the 2023 AASV annual meeting. Dr. Snezek is looking forward to taking part in the education of veterinary students and working on research projects while exploring Iowa. Her updated contact information is available at aasv.org/directory. Are you on the move? Let us know at aasv@aasv.org.
