Position Announcement: Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Swine Medicine

The Faculté de médecine vétérinaire (FMV) of the Université de Montréal is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor position in Swine Medicine. The FMV is located on the Saint-Hyacinthe campus, 60 km (37 miles) from Montreal and in the heart of the agri-food technopole. The swine sector is the second largest agri-food sector in Quebec. The swine industry in Quebec also gathers more than 60 veterinarians and multiple very proactive stakeholders eager for scientific advances to maintain global competitiveness.

The swine sector in the Département de sciences cliniques of the FMV is dynamic and has developed several collaborations with other professionals and partners of the swine industry over the years through the Laboratory of Epidemiology and Swine Medicine (LEMP). Several well-structured and recognized research groups also work within the FMV, namely research groups on Infectious Diseases in Animal Production (GREMIP), Food Safety (GRESA), and Epidemiology of Zoonoses and Public Health (GREZOSP), as well as the strategic group Center for Research in Swine and Poultry Infectious Diseases (CRIPA).

The FMV is located off-campus but maintains strong collaborative ties with other faculties at the Université de Montréal and other universities within the province. A structured mentorship program is available for newly hired professors.
