Vote by Feb 16: AASV Vice-President, President-Elect, and District Directors

The annual election for AASV Vice President and President-Elect is underway. Elections are also under way for the AASV District Director positions in Districts 1, 4, 6, 8, and 10. The last day to enter a vote is Friday, February 16, 2024.

Again this year, voting is being conducted online. Each voting member (veterinarian in the US, Canada or Mexico) has been sent an email message containing a link to their ballot. Members may also access their ballot and candidate messages by logging into aasv.org/members.

The nominees for Vice President are Dr. Stephen Patterson and Dr. Rebecca Robbins. Information about the candidates appears in the Jan/Feb 2024 issue of the Journal of Swine Health & Production.

The ballot also includes the candidate for President-elect, Dr. Locke Karriker (Iowa), who has served as AASV Vice President for the past year. See the Jan/Feb 2023 JSHAP issue for Dr. Karriker’s biographical information. An opportunity for a write-in candidate is available.

A link to each District Director candidate’s biographical campaign message was sent to each member in applicable districts.

The last date to submit or change a vote is Friday, February 16 (Midnight CST). The election results will be announced on Tuesday, February 27 during the Business Breakfast at the AASV Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.
