The EVP Graduate Certificate Program in Systems Health Management is now accepting applications for our spring cohort, which will begin in January 2024. The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine will admit 25 students into the program and do a rolling admission process, so please do not wait to submit your application! The early application deadline is September 15th. EVP has been re-structured and built on the foundation of "an engineering-based approach to improvement".
History of EVP
Thirty-two years ago, Dr. LeRoy Biehl recognized a need for an intensive training program to fill the knowledge gap and the need for professional growth for livestock veterinarians: business, management, and strategic competencies required to thrive in our industry beyond the traditional roles of practice. The program has proven its value and worth among generations of veterinarians. Due to the significant changes in the veterinary industry, we needed to assess our existing program to make sure it is still relevant and meets the requirements of today’s veterinarians.
With the help of your esteemed colleagues, friends, and swine industry leaders, an EVP Advisory board was established to help guide the college to reinvigorate the EVP program. We are excited about its future.
