The national Certified Swine Sample Collection (CSSC) training program assures state and federal animal health officials that individuals have been trained by category II accredited veterinarians working in the pork industry to correctly collect, handle, and submit samples prior to an outbreak. Training for veterinarians in Pennsylvania with category II accreditation will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 at the New Bolton Center.
Certified Swine Sample Collection Training will introduce the approved national and Pennsylvania Bureau of Animal Health CSSC materials to category II accredited veterinarians practicing in Pennsylvania so they can facilitate training of non-veterinary colleagues for sample collection and support human infrastructure needs during a disease outbreak in the swine industry.
