All pork producers are asked to participate in the 2022 Census of Agriculture, which is open now through Feb. 6.
Why respond to the Census of Agriculture? Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack explains how the Ag Census data affects farm programs and services in this short video. They will inform policy makers, educators, researchers, agribusinesses, trade associations for the next five years. It is your voice, your future, and your opportunity.
The census is taken every 5 years and is a complete count of U.S. farms, ranches and the people who operate them.
Any farm that sold or produced $1,000 or more of agricultural products during the census year should participate.
The data collected for the census will be released as soon as spring 2024, and it will inform decisions about agriculture policy, farm and conservation programs, infrastructure and rural development, research, education, beginning farmer programs and more.
Complete the census by mail, phone or online at the link below.
