Class: QPR for Suicide Prevention

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is offering QPR during September, which is National Suicide Prevention Month, and throughout the fall. Question.Persuade.Refer (QPR) the suicide prevention program that teaches participants how to recognize the warning signs of suicidal thoughts, and how to ask someone whether they are thinking about suicide. Participants also learn how to persuade someone to get help and how to refer them to appropriate help. The classes are open to anyone, especially farmers, agribusiness professionals, veterinarians and bankers.

ISU Extension and Outreach will offer virtual QPR classes from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates:

Nov. 2 and 16
Dec. 14

Private classes for groups of 15-30 participants are also available upon request.
