The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in the department of Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine at Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Emphasis of this position will be veterinary toxicology (primarily food animal) with exposure to other animal species.
The primary roles of this position are to provide high-quality diagnostic coordination of toxicology and nutrition-based cases, conduct applied research, and to assist in the instruction of veterinary students within the ISU CVM core curriculum and the department’s professional program. Responsibilities also include communication with laboratory clientele and performance of field investigations. This position will allow the individual to pursue board certification as a veterinary toxicology Diplomate with the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology (ABVT) and/or a graduate degree (MS or PhD).
