The IowaFADefense (IFAD) Certification Program is a training series developed for veterinarians licensed in Iowa to assist in preparing for and responding to foreign animal diseases (FADs).
This March, Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) will be offering a swine module where veterinarians will:
- Receive specialized training on conducting foreign animal disease investigations (FADIs)
- Be prepared to properly train producers on how to collect samples if needed during an outbreak (using the Certified Swine Sample Collector materials)
