The swine industry is battling one of the toughest strains ever of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus.
It’s not too late to register for a free webinar for producers tomorrow hosted by the Pork Checkoff. Three animal health and research experts will share guidance on PRRS 1-4-4, including new research from Pipestone and biosecurity considerations for colder months.
Speakers include the following:
- Dr. Cesar Corzo, University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, will share information on the new lineage’s spread across the country.
- Dr. Lisa Becton, director of animal health, National Pork Board, will share biosecurity considerations with the onset of cold weather just around the corner.
- Dr. Scott Dee, director of research for Pipestone Applied Research, will provide an overview of three recently completed field studies on PRSS 1-4-4 conducted in partnership with Pipestone Research and Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health.
