AASV has been offered three complimentary seats in the upcoming online African Swine Fever Emergency Preparedness Course for Canada for US-based practitioners who regularly see swine. If you are a US-based swine practitioner interested in these complimentary registrations, please submit your names to Dr. Abbey Canon by July 1.
The goal of the course is to equip veterinarians who would be involved in the diagnosis, investigation and response of an outbreak of ASF were it to occur. The online, self-paced course takes approximately 15 hours to complete over the course of a 4-week period, September 21-October 19. This program has been approved for 8 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval. AASV can provide more information about the course to those who are interested.
