Apply Now for a Food Armor Foundation Training Opportunity in Madison, WI August 5-6th, 2021

The Food Armor Foundation has received a grant for over $240,000 from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture Veterinary Services Grant Program to conduct in-person antimicrobial stewardship training workshops for veterinarians and veterinary students. These workshops will be held in Madison, WI twice per year with the first this coming August 2021.

The workshops are targeted at veterinary students or veterinarians under 15 years in practice, however, anyone can apply. If you are looking to educate yourself on antimicrobial stewardship practices, learn an approach to implement risk-based stewardship plans on farms and network with other like-minded individuals, these trainings are for you.

Participants will attend a one-day workshop on August 5th with an optional half day session on August 6th. Participants will also receive a travel/lodging stipend to help offset costs.

A limited number of attendees have the option of extending their stay in Madison to participate in a Veterinary Medical Mastermind workshop hosted by the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association and Owners to Operators.
