Hey students! Looking for resources to keep your swine medicine skills sharp? Want to dive deeper into a swine medicine topic? Looking for an externship or summer internship? Look no further! A summary of resources can be found on the Student AASV Membership Benefits page.
As student AASV members, you have access to many resources on the AASV website, including the Journal of Swine Health and Production, the Swine Information library, video and photo libraries, podcasts, the latest Swine Disease Manual, internship and externship listings, and many more. You can also view the new Day-1 Competencies for Swine-Interested Veterinary Graduates to set goals and identify areas you can review now.
2020 may not have gone as you planned, but take advantage of the opportunity to look through all of the tools you have access to here and elsewhere. Now might also be a good time to reach out to or reconnect with a mentor. Student mentorship is an important part of AASV’s mission, and you both might find a conversation helpful!
AASV Student Delegate Jamie Madigan and Alternate Student Delegate Amanda Anderson represent student interests within AASV as non-voting members of the AASV Board of Directors and the Student Recruitment Committee. They are also available as resources. Their contact information can be found in the AASV Membership Directory.
