Dr. Giovani Trevisan recently began work in a new position at Iowa State University. He will be providing technical support to the US Swine Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) on epidemiologic applications related to disease surveillance and health assurance programs in swine medicine. In addition to SHIP, he will continue to develop field-applied epidemiological studies and coordinate the Swine Disease Reporting System (SDRS). Dr. Trevisan received his DVM degree from Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 2009 and worked as a practitioner for JBS, Brazil, until 2017.
