Pipestone Veterinary Services is offering a paid 10-12 week summer internship for 2 veterinary students interested in swine health, production, and research. Housing will be provided, based mainly out of the Pipestone, MN location, and application deadline is December 7th, 2020.
Description:
The summer internship provided by Pipestone Veterinary Services is a swine focused internship, with an opportunity to be exposed to mixed animal practice. Students will be given opportunities to grow in areas of swine health, production, and research while working with veterinarians and team members at Pipestone Veterinary Services.
AASV project:
Yes, but not required. Students will perform research projects throughout the summer based on topics of interest of the students and team at Pipestone Veterinary Services.
Learning Opportunities:
- Exposure to swine veterinary practice.
- Exposure and experience in commercial swine production.
- Assisting, leading, and/or executing research projects of interest.
- Additional learning opportunities in nutrition, records, finance, and ventilation.

- Eligibility: Veterinary students that have completed their first or second year of veterinary school.
- Housing: Provided
- Paid internship: Hourly wage to be determined, with opportunity for overtime pay.
