As of October 12, Dr. Emily Byers has joined Merck Animal Health as a Technical Services Veterinarian in the Swine Business Unit. She will provide technical support for the growing portfolio of Merck Animal Health swine products to veterinary practices and swine production companies in the Eastern Cornbelt. Dr. Byers received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in 2012 and completed a postdoc in Swine Health at North Carolina State University in 2013. She then worked as a staff veterinarian for Smithfield Hog Production East Central Region. Most recently, she was the lead swine veterinarian for Prestage Farms.
