Dr. Peggy Ann Hawkins, a long-time member and volunteer of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians and AASV Foundation, has been appointed to the Minnesota Board of Animal Health.
Opportunities for veterinarians to serve on state or local boards of animal health, boards of public health, or boards of veterinary medicine are periodically available. It is important for swine veterinarians to take advantage of these opportunities to share their expertise as well as protect interests and priorities of the profession.
Dr. Hawkins, a veterinarian in Northfield, Minnesota, was appointed July 17, 2020, by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan. Her term is effective July 22, 2020-January 1, 2024. She replaces Dr. Graham Brayshaw.
