To date, there have been no reports of swine acquiring or spreading SARS-CoV-2. An April 2020 study by the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute found that pigs are not susceptible to infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The AASV and other industry leaders continue to monitor numerous research projects underway in the United States.
