This week’s Doc Tales comes from the "out of the mouths of babes" category and was relayed to me by an AASV member veterinarian who shall remain nameless. It was widely known that the veterinarian, Dr. Whyme, had a somewhat contentious relationship with his local state animal health official, Dr. Saho. Upon returning home from his after dinner stroll one evening, Dr. Whyme was greeted at the door by his young son, Ladd. Ladd informed his father that Dr. Saho had called while he was out and asked him to return his call as soon as possible. Somewhat reluctantly, Dr. Whyme returned the call. Upon answering, Dr. Saho congratulated Dr. Whyme on how polite his son was on the phone saying, "I told your son that my name was Dr. Saho and I needed to speak to you as soon as possible to which he replied, ‘oh yeah, I know you. You’re the man that makes my dad’s life a living hell!’"
