To support the continuous growth of our Canadian Operation, Gallant Custom Laboratories/IDT Biologika has an immediate, Canada-based vacancy as: Key Account Manager Vaccines.
Role and responsibilities:
- Bridgehead for Gallant/IDT Biologika GmbH in the Canadian market, simultaneously liaising with R&D, technical, marketing and sales team in Germany
- Answering veterinarians’ technical queries, and liaise with Canadian key opinion leaders in veterinary and agriculture areas
- Develop local adjusted communication and action plans (to veterinary practices, agriculture business, specialized press etc.)
- Market preparation for new commercial and autogenous vaccines and providing technical/marketing training to relevant stakeholders of pig poultry and livestock business
- Increase and develop sales and revenue of commercial veterinary biologics in the Canadian market
- Increase sales and revenue of autogenous biologics through existing and new clients
- Promote new autogenous biologics as they are made available to the market
- Participate in post marketing field trials and create strong technical bulletins
- Monitoring and responding market trends and create all the support services that ensure market success
- Investigate and develop new markets in Canada and the United States
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Key Account Management or a Product
- Management role in the veterinary pharmaceutical/vaccine industry in Canada and ideally US
- DVM is required
- Bilingual (English/French)
- Thorough understanding of the Canadian pig, poultry and livestock market and its key stakeholders
- Evidence of strong commercial success, ability to directly accelerate business growth and to develop a business across border in a highly competitive market
- A thorough understanding, gained from experience within the animal health industry, of what is required to plan, implement, monitor and improve a sales and marketing strategy in a start-up environment
- Self-starting, inclusive, inspirational leadership to create a sales organization and develop its reputation for cutting-edge technology delivered in a highly professional manner
- Highly self-motivated and achievement-focused to drive a business forward to make one’s mark with a unique product and determination to create and grow its presence in Canada and potentially US
- Financial skills including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- High willingness to travel
- Strong communication skills in English and French
- Effective interpersonal skills with all stakeholders
