Professionally: We are pleased to announce that the growth of our swine division has created a need for an additional swine veterinarian. Our veterinary team has more than doubled the past three years to ten large animal veterinarians and three small animal veterinarians. We are now looking for a swine veterinarian to work on our current and expanding customers’ swine health needs.
Sioux Nation is a family owned business started in 1960 in Sioux Falls, SD as an animal health retailer. Since then, we have expanded into feed component manufacturing, veterinary services, management, and financial services. We work with customers in seven states and are growing rapidly. Our experienced team of nutritionists, veterinarians, field marketing technical experts and financial personnel works together to help our customers remain profitable. A specific midwestern United States location for this position is flexible. Travel to customer farm-business sites will be required. Farm destinations are mostly in Eastern South Dakota, Northeast Nebraska, and Southwest Minnesota.
Applicant must have a DVM degree from an accredited U.S. College of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent. Applicant must have the ability to become licensed in South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa. Prior experience in swine veterinary medical practice and/or production is preferred but not required. Old, new and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
