AVMA members are welcome to join the AVMA’s Council on Biologic and Therapeutic Agents and its Clinical Practitioners Advisory Committee (two volunteer governance groups composed of AVMA member veterinarians) for a free, members-only webinar at 10 AM Central on Friday, February 7. Members can learn more about compounding and have their questions answered. Registration is easy, and registrants will receive a confirmation email explaining how to join the session. Space is limited, so sign up early to reserve your spot.
With the many species and conditions veterinarians treat, it’s no secret that compounding is a part of veterinary medical practice. But veterinarians might not know that some common compounding practices have been supported by research while other compounds do not have as much research behind them. Veterinarians might not know some compounding practices are allowed, and others aren’t, according to the FDA. Perhaps you have heard about the passage of federal legislation on human medical compounding, and you want to hear more about federal advocacy activities. The webinar on February 7 will help to provide the information you seek on compounding.
