- The NAHLN has updated the latest case reports for the week of 9/9/13. They have added an additional spreadsheet this week breaking out those samples submitted for environmental testing vs. animal testing. No new states were added this week thus the number of states with at least one swine herd infected remains at 17.
- The Swine Health Monitoring Project at the University of Minnesota provided a synopsis of a research project investigating possible aerosol spread of the PED virus.
- ISU researchers announced the development of the first IFA test designed to detect antibodies to the PED virus.
