It is with sadness that AASV learned of the death of José Barceló Bonada on June 28, 2009. He passed away at the age of 49 due to a heart attack.
He was a renowned international porcine consultant, responsible for the school Sus Scrofa Fundación Barceló, founding member of the dissolved porcine consultancy B&M and one of the creators of the websites 3tres3.com and pig333.com. José Barceló was also a member of various professional associations (IVS, IPVS, AASV, ANAPORC, Real Academia de Ciencias de Cataluña…) and he took part in many national and international conferences.
José Barceló had been a member of AASV since 1998. Our condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues.
