Novartis Animal Health US, Inc. has an opening for a swine Professional Services Veterinarian in the Midwest.
Purpose: Effectively communicate with veterinarians, distributors, swine producers, and other customers concerning NAHUS-FAB products. Answer customers questions about products; assist in handling suspect adverse events (sADE) about products with TSP &P; assist on marketing projects. Perform public speaking at Trade Shows, meetings, and training sessions for the Sales representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with producers and veterinarians on use of NAHUS-FAB products (specifically swine products) through public speaking, written communication including preparing articles and with R& D personnel on swine related projects and swine production.
- Advise Sales and Marketing on needs to improve market share of NAH US swine product line.
- Effectively communicate with producers and veterinarians to solving problems for the them. This function will require farm visits and associated veterinary functions such as herd exams, necropsy, clinical inspections, etc.
- Effectively communicate with management, marketing, and R&D personnel on new product ideas or product improvements, as deemed necessary.
- Act as a liaison on sADE with Pharmacovigilance and work actively with producers and veterinarians to resolve these concerns. Assist Technical Services staff with sADE, including farm investigations.
- Effectively communicate with Regulatory Affairs Manager and R&D on needed label changes on products to avoid misunderstanding or misuse of these products.
- Work actively with the marketing team as needed to help with advertising ideas, actual advertising copy, and ad-editor.
- Work with Territory Managers, Key account managers, and Regional Managers to detail products to veterinarians and producers. Provide technical, strategic, and sales support with the sales force on a daily basis.
- Perform public speaking to inform audiences of new product information and general scientific information at sales meetings and other professional meetings.
Qualifications:
Education: DVM Degree (required)
Experience:
- Good record keeping abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate and have effective interpersonal skills
- Knowledge about swine production medicine
- Computer Skills
