The department of clinical studies at New Bolton Center, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, invites applications for a standing faculty position in swine production systems medicine. The appointment will be at the level of assistant professor in the clinician educator track and is available immediately.
The candidate must have a veterinary degree and be board eligible/certified in a specialty pertinent to swine health management. Candidates with a graduate degree and/or strong background in funded research, particularly in the areas of reproduction or animal welfare, are desireable.
The responsibilities for this position include field-related investigational work in swine health/management, research, and teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continued growth of the New Bolton Center swine program through service to the Pennsylvania swine industry, teaching of professional/post-doctoral students, and conducting collaborative and independent research in their area(s) of expertise.
