Dr. Warren Wilson has agreed to chair the 2009 AASV Foundation Auction Committee, accepting the reigns from Dr. Rodney Johnson.
Dr. Wilson immediately decreed that "no self-respecting cheese-head would ever be outdone by a fly-fishing Viking" and challenged the committee to exceed last year’s wildly successful auction at the AASV Annual Meeting March 9 in Dallas, TX.
You know what they say, "everything’s bigger in Texas!" Well, we’re hoping “everyone’s biddin’ in Texas” because Wilson boldly challenges the membership to recognize the association’s 40th anniversary by raising $80,000 to benefit the projects supported by the Foundation!
Believe it or not, the 2009 Annual meeting is less than six months away. So, start saving your money and thinking about items you might want to donate. Over the next few weeks we’ll be gearing up the web site and finalizing the auction committee. If you’ve got items you’d like to donate or would be willing to serve on the committee please contact Dr. Wilson (warren.wilson6@spcorp.com) or the AASV office (aasv@aasv.org).
