Dr. Janice Zanella has relocated from Brazil to Ames, Iowa, where she is employed as a visiting scientist by EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agriculture Research Corporation) in the cooperative agricultural research program known as LABEX-USA. She will be working at the National Animal Disease Center (NADC) for two years to address animal health research priorities of both Brazil and the US, specifically viral diseases of swine. The goal of LABEX-USA is to establish and foster long-term international research collaborations of mutual benefit between EMBRAPA and the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS).
