The 20th IPVS Congress kicks off in 6 weeks time. With just on 1600 delegates already registered we believe that we will get close to our target of 2000 delegates.
When we set out to arrange this congress we undertook that the scientific program would be on par with previous congresses, there would be ample opportunity to socialize and network and that delegates would be able to explore South Africa with their families. We are confident that we will achieve these goals.
This IPVS Congress promises to have all the elements required to make it a memorable and successful congress. The scientific organizing committee received 937 papers for presentation. Keynote lectures will address a variety of subjects including global pig disease epidemiology, future genetic technologies, African and Classical Swine Fever, food safety, diagnostics, relationship between disease and sow housing and the future role of swine veterinarians.
Delegates will find South Africa to be a very reasonably priced holiday destination, especially given the strength of the Euro and US dollar in South Africa. If you have not yet made the decision to travel – what are you waiting for – join us on the 22nd of June in Durban for the 20TH IPVS Congress.
