As you all should know by now, the AASV Foundation has established for itself a Big Hairy Audacious Goal of making the 2008 fund-raising auction at the AASV Annual Meeting its biggest ever. They’ve set a goal of raising $50,000 to support the Foundation’s efforts to enhance the swine veterinary profession.
The Foundation’s Auction Committee, headed up by Rod Johnson and Warren Wilson, have done a tremendous job securing a fabulous array of items to offer for auction. You can view these items and cast your bids on the auction listing web page. The Foundation wants to thank all of the generous members, friends and allied industry supporters for their donations and cash contributions that will make this auction possible. Thanks to their generosity, 100% of your winning bid will benefit the Foundation.
But, we’re only half way there. We need your support and energy to make this BHAG a reality. Without your bids, all this effort on your behalf will be for naught. We personally ask each of you to attend the auction on Monday night and generously support the efforts of your fellow members by bidding early and bidding often. This is the largest fund-raising opportunity of the year for the Foundation and it’s worthy of your support. We know there are a lot of opportunities available in the beautiful city of San Diego but on Monday night we encourage you to put off your adventures until after the auction and spend some time (and money) in support of your AASV Foundation.
Thanks for your support and we’ll see you in San Diego!
