The company also strives to be faith-friendly, provide a safe work environment and serve as stewards of the animals, land and environment entrusted to it.

The Pork Group, Inc.

Tyson Foods is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of live swine. That’s right, we’re pork, too!

Tyson first purchased hogs in the late sixties as a way to use chicken feed left over on the farm after flocks went to the plant. But the company soon discovered their second protein was a profitable venture on its own. Now, Tyson feed mills formulate feed especially for live swine, and our geneticists are constantly improving the Tyson animal.

Today The Pork Group, Inc. operates in Northwest Arkansas, Central Oklahoma, and Southwest Missouri with approximately 70,000 sows in our inventory. Headquartered in Fayetteville, AR, we employ approximately 275 Team Members across the three-state region to produce a high-quality animal for a variety of customers. Our product mix includes weaned, feeder, and finished hogs.

Living in Northwest Arkansas

A diverse region of connected communities and neighborhoods, together we form one of the six fastest growing areas of the United States – with good schools, safe neighborhoods, great cultural and shopping amenities, places for people of all faiths to worship, some of the best outdoor recreation available anywhere, and the University of Arkansas.

Five cities with metro populations over a million are less than a half-day’s drive away. Interstate 540/71 provides an uninterrupted connection between Kansas City in the north and I-40 to the south. One of the nation’s high priority corridors, Highway 412, makes Northwest Arkansas the crossroads between Oklahoma City and Tulsa in the west, and the Tennessee border in the east – providing access to Nashville.
